The following requirements must be met before installing the Delphix engine on VMware.
- Ensure that the PowerFlex cluster is installed and configured.
- Create a PowerFlex storage volume for data provisioning (using Delphix engine Continuous Data) and map it to the compute node where the Delphix engine is going to be installed.
- Create a PowerFlex storage volume for data masking (using Delphix engine Continuous Compliance) and map it to the compute node where the Delphix engine is going to be installed.
- Contact Delphix support to obtain the Delphix virtual appliance file (OVA) for installation in a VMware ESXi environment.

- Obtain the DNS, NTP, default gateway, FQDN, and IP address of the Delphix engine.
