Organizations today have access to more data than ever before. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used in many ways by organizations to focus on application growth. AI is used in modern and innovative ways to develop process automation, customer insights, decision making, security threat identification, discovering new products, developing services, and so on.
Deep learning (DL), machine learning (ML), and AI techniques have enabled success in many fields, such as computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), recommendation engines, and autonomous driving. These technologies use a model to learn from the existing data and generate results based on the new data. The success of these technologies is due to a combination of improved algorithms, access to larger datasets, and increased computational power of both the CPU and GPU.
This white paper focuses on how Dell PowerFlex accelerates AI innovation by delivering the performance, scalability, and I/O concurrency for high-performance AI workloads.
This paper also describes integration and configuration of NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs with PowerFlex two-layer architecture. Dell Technologies lab set for this environment includes PowerFlex, Dell PowerEdge servers, Dell switches, VMware ESXi hypervisor, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise, which includes virtual GPU (vGPU) software from NVIDIA.
