An NVIDIA AI Enterprise software license is required to run the AI workloads on the VM. NVIDIA AI Enterprise software is available for purchase from Dell Technologies. For more information, see the NVIDIA AI Enterprise Packaging, Pricing, and Licensing Guide.
NVIDIA AI Enterprise is the software layer of the NVIDIA AI platform. It accelerates the data science pipeline and streamlines development and deployment of production AI. It Includes over 50 AI frameworks, pretrained models, and development tools. NVIDIA AI Enterprise can accelerate enterprises to the leading edge of AI, while simplifying AI to make it accessible to every enterprise.

After getting the license, generate the client configuration token by following the procedure at https://docs.nvidia.com/grid/latest/grid-software-quick-start-guide/index.html#configuring-nls-licensed-client. Make a note of the token file as it would be useful in licensing the vGPU drivers later.
The downloaded token is used in the upcoming steps.
Certain changes on the Host (ESXi) side and the VM level are needed to get the A100 GPU working at the PowerFlex CO node and are explained in the following sections.
