Logs record events that are related to services such as CCP API, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite (Automation Suite) web interface, certificate management, storage, management cluster, and worker nodes.
Automation Suite collects logs from the nodes and application pods and stores them in a default directory location. You can configure a different storage location inside the node using the CCP API.
Logs are compressed into .zip files whose folder names include the current date and timestamp. The .zip folder names are aggregate_logs_timestamp
. The timestamp at the end of a folder name is in ISO 8601 format with year, month, day, and time (hrs, min, secs, fractions of secs) in UTC, which includes a Z at the end.
For example, this exported log indicates that the aggregated log was exported on October 9, 2023 at 11:34:00:
dtias_logs_v1_20231009113400787Z.zip
In addition:
- Files are capped at 10,000 log entries before a new file is created.
- Logs are sorted in increasing order by log timestamp value.
- There is a 10 GB maximum call message size in place. The call fails if the .zip file size exceeds this limit.
