Ensure that the hardware profile that you want to edit is not in use by a resource.
CAUTION: Do not edit a hardware profile that is in use by a resource. If this occurs, Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite displays a warning to prevent unintentionally affecting many resources.
To edit a hardware profile:
- In the Orchestration page, from the left-side menu, select Hardware Profile. The Orchestration: Hardware Profile page displays.
- Select the check box next to the hardware profile that you want to edit.
- From the Actions drop-down list, select Edit.
- To edit configuration settings:
- Under BIOS Settings, click Edit and update the required fields.

- Under BMC Settings, click Edit and update the required fields.

- Under RAID Settings, click Edit and update the required fields.
For more information, see RAID settings.
- Under Operating System, click Edit and update the required fields. For more information about the operating system settings, see Operating system settings. For more information about operating system media, see Create operating system media.
- Under OS Drivers, click Edit and update the required fields. For more information about OS driver media, see Create OS Driver media. Note: OS Drivers setting in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an operating system has been added.
- Under SCP Automated Configuration, click Edit and update the required fields. For more information, see Create SCP media. Note: SCP Automated Configuration setting in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an operating system has been added.
- Under OS Network Settings, click Edit and update the required fields. Note: OS Network Settings in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an operating system has been added.
- Under Firmware, click Edit and update the required fields.

- Under Power Options, Do not change power state is selected by default. If you want to set the power state, click Set power state to turn the power on or off.
- Under BIOS Settings, click Edit and update the required fields.
- Select Reinitialize Drives if you want the hardware profile to perform a secure erase on all drives. CAUTION: Reinitializing a drive is a destructive operation that can result in data loss.Note: SD cards if present and BOSS card volumes are not erased when you select Reinitialize Drives.
- Click Save.
