The alert definition Data Collection Issue checks if all the storage systems are collecting data within a 24-hour time span.
If the total time since the last collection from a device is greater than 24 hours, an alert is generated and sent to ServiceNow for incident creation.

The report Explore/Storage/Storage Systems shows the time elapsed since the last collection per storage array. Two devices are affected, and the time elapsed since the last collection is greater than 1 day, as shown in the following figure:

The alert definition Data Collection Issue monitors the time value and generates the alert shown in the Operations/Alerts/All Alerts report. Two critical alerts are created:

The alert summary shows details of the alert:

The alias, severity, active, message, owner, acknowledged, timestamp, and event definition are some of the alert properties that are pushed to ServiceNow to be part of incident properties.
ServiceNow incidents are created from SRM-originated alerts.
