When a user logs off an instant clone VM, it is refreshed to the original state of the current gold image. In this test, Login VSI logs off all 500 users at the end of steady state. VMs are logged off at a steady rate, so the increase in I/O is also steady. As each user logs off, the writable volumes perform final write activities before they are unmounted from the VMs (before the VM refreshes). A period of increased demand on the PowerVault appliance occurs as the VMs refresh to their original state.
