After scanning for host initiators, metro node records new initiators as unregistered and assigns a default name to them that includes the WWN of the host initiator.
For metro node to use the newly identified host initiators, metro node must register them. During registration, a name must be assigned to the initiator. It is recommended that the name of the database server be used as the initiator name.
Before registering initiators, identify which initiators belong to the database server that will be used with the metro node cluster. Run the following command as root on a database server.
ls -1c /sys/class/fc_host/host*/*t_name 2> /dev/null | xargs -I {} grep -H -v "ZzZz" {} | sort
