Now expose the virtual volume to the storage view used by the database server and assign a LUN ID.
In Unisphere for metro node, repeat the following steps to expose the metro node virtual volumes to the storage view that corresponds to the database server.
Note: If the Health and Operation Status of the new virtual volumes are displayed as Minor Failure and degraded respectfully, it could be that the extents in the virtual volumes are being built with RAID-1 protection. Waiting for the RAID-1 build to complete before performing the remaining steps is not necessary.
To verify if RAID-1 is being built, run the following command in VPlexcli. If RAID-1 is being built, the device shown in the metro node UI should be shown as follows:
