Home > Storage > PowerStore > Databases and Data Analytics > Dell PowerStore Metro Node with Oracle > Create metro node extents on the metro node storage volumes
If a metro node Metro configuration will provide highly available storage for Oracle, an extent needs to be created with the same configuration on a matching pair of metro node storage volumes that will form two Metro devices, one on each metro cluster.
To create the extent on the paired or like-purposed metro node storage volumes, set the metro node provisioning context to cluster-1 and perform the steps in this section. Then, set the metro node provisioning context to cluster-2 and repeat the steps in this section. (See Setting metro node Metro provisioning context).
Note: This section is repeated for both provisioning contexts cluster-1 and cluster-2. For brevity, only metro cluster-1 is shown.
Repeat this process if more extents need to be created on other storage volumes.
