Home > Storage > PowerStore > Databases and Data Analytics > Dell PowerStore Metro Node with Oracle > Create a metro node device on the extent.
Once an extent is created on each of the matching metro node storage volumes, a metro node device needs to be created for each of the matching extents on cluster-1 and cluster-2 storage volumes.
To create the matching devices, set the metro node provisioning context to cluster-1 and perform the steps in this section. Then, set the metro node provisioning context to cluster-2 and repeat the steps in this section. (See Setting metro node Metro provisioning context).
After the matching pair of metro node devices are created between cluster-1 and cluster-2, mirrored Distributed Devices need to be created using the matching pair of devices. Creating distributed devices is covered in a later section.
Note: This section is repeated for both provisioning contexts cluster-1 and cluster-2. For brevity, only metro cluster-1 is shown.
