After exposing PowerStore volumes to metro node, log in to Unisphere for metro node and begin the process of configuring and provisioning metro node storage from the PowerStore volumes. The configuration and provisioning method shown in this section describes a process to configure a highly available metro node Local configuration to protect Oracle from failure of a PowerStore array. It also provides the metro node administrator the ability to expose metro node virtual volumes using specific LUN IDs.
For a metro node Local configuration, the recommended provisioning process involves the following steps.
Note: This process assumes the PowerStore arrays have been configured for metro node. Configuring PowerStore arrays for metro node is out of scope for this document.
Each step of the process depends on the successful completion of the previous step. The remainder of this section covers steps 2 through 9 of the provisioning process.
