After FC zones have been added to the fabric to enable connectivity between the metro node clusters and the database server for standalone Oracle or between metro node clusters and the multiple database server nodes in an Oracle RAC Standalone Cluster, perform the following steps to create the necessary initiators (server HBAs) and storage views in metro node.
A storage view must be created for each database server requiring access to the metro node virtual volumes. The recommended configuration process for a storage view involves the following steps. Repeat this process for each of the database servers requiring access to metro node.
Note: This process assumes the metro node appliance has been deployed and configured in PowerStore. Deploying and configuring PowerStore metro node is out of scope of this document. See References for additional information.
Each step of this process depends on the successful completion of the previous step. The remainder of this section covers step 2 through 4 of the process in more detail.
