Before starting the installation, we strongly recommend reviewing the CSI driver requirements. You can find a summary of prerequisite information and optional features on PowerStore CSI driver page in Rancher, which also provides a reference link to the comprehensive documentation available on Dell Technologies GitHub repositories.
- On the Rancher home page, click a managed cluster.
- Navigate to Apps > Charts from the left-side menu.
- In the filter field, enter dell csi to narrow down the results.

- Select PowerStore CSI driver.
- Review all the information on this page and complete the prerequisite steps. See Figure 10.
- Ensure that the Kubernetes nodes have the necessary software to support the chosen storage protocol. PowerStore systems support various storage protocols, including iSCSI, FC, NVMe, NFS and SMB. Install the required software on the Kubernetes nodes, because Rancher does not manage these operating system level storage software dependencies.
- For example, if you opt for PowerStore storage using iSCSI, ensure that the iSCSI client software is installed on the Kubernetes nodes. Similarly, if you are using the NFS protocol with the CSI driver, ensure that the NFS client software is installed on the nodes.
- You can also access different versions of the CSI driver on the right side under Chart Versions.
