A Persistent Volume Claim specifies the storage requirements of an application, including capacity and access mode. Kubernetes automatically matches PVCs with suitable PVs based on the requirements. If no suitable PV exists, Kubernetes automatically creates a new PV to meet the specified needs.
When you deploy an application and reference the PVC, you enable it to request and use the persistent storage on PowerStore systems.
Kubernetes handles the entire lifecycle of the PV and PVC, including provisioning, attaching, and detaching storage, ensuring data durability, and performing cleanup when resources are released.
