Prior to OneFS Release 9.8.0.0, SBR was disabled by default. OneFS Release 9.8.0.0 enables SBR by default for all new (Greenfield) PowerScale deployments. Existing (Brownfield) OneFS clusters upgrading to OneFS Release 9.8.0.0, maintain the existing SBR setting. IPv6 support is also added to SBR in OneFS Release 9.8.0.0, whereas previous releases only supported IPv4.
SBR may be configured through the WebUI or CLI. To configure SBR from the WebUI, navigate to Cluster Management > Network Configuration and select the “Settings” tab. Next, toggle the “Enable source based routing” checkbox to disable or enable SBR, as displayed in the following figure.
To check if SBR is enabled from the CLI, use the isi network external view command, as displayed in the following figure.
To configure SBR from the CLI use the following command: isi network external modify --sbr=[true/false]
