Home > Storage > PowerScale (Isilon) > Industry Solutions and Verticals > Hadoop and Big Data > Dell PowerScale: CDP 7.1.7 to 7.1.8 Private Cloud Base Upgrade Process > Upgrading Cloudera Runtime Cluster
After updating the Cloudera Manager to CM version 7.7.1, upgrade the CDP Runtime. When you upgrade a cluster, you use Cloudera Manager to upgrade the cluster software across an entire cluster using Cloudera Parcels.
Note: Only complete the procedures for services that are running in your source cluster.
For the Cloudera CDP-PvtBase with PowerScale OneFS upgrade, there are additional steps needed for the Hue service.
To perform the additional steps required with PowerScale OneFS, follow these deviations from the document Upgrading Cloudera Manager 7.
Example:
In the core_settings service, verify the following configurations and make any changes necessary.
<property>
<name>hadoop.security.authentication</name>
<value>kerberos</value>
</property>
<property>
<name>hadoop.security.authorization</name>
<value>true</value>
</property>
<property>
<name>hadoop.rpc.protection</name>
<value>authentication</value>
</property>
Note: For PowerScale OneFS, ignore Step 8: Finalize the HDFS Upgrade.
