For assistance in using logs, or if data is not being collected or is not being displayed in dashboards, refer to the following table for guidance.

Need to view the TA logs from the CLI | See the $SPLUNK_HOME/var/log/splunk/ directory for ta_emc_isilon_*.log. |
Need to view the TA logs using Splunk Search | Run a query to view the logs from the UI: index="_internal" source=*ta_emc_isilon_*.log Run this query to search for errors: index="_internal" source=*ta_emc_isilon_*.log ERROR |
Need more detailed logging information | In the Add-on, modify the log level to DEBUG. |
Data is not getting collected
| Check whether data is being collected, using this query: isilon_index | stats count by sourcetype
emc:isilon:rest emc:isilon:syslog For emc:isilon:rest: If the number of events is zero in the count field, ensure that the inputs have been enabled in the Add-on, For emc:isilon:syslog:

Dashboards are not being populated |
The dashboards might take some time to populate before the data is returned some of the panels are populated. If the dashboards are not populated after several minutes, see the data collection troubleshooting tips. |
