Home > Storage > PowerScale (Isilon) > Industry Solutions and Verticals > Analytics > Dell PowerScale App for Splunk: Configuration and Deployment > Step 3: Configure Add-on
After Splunk has restarted, log in to the heavy forwarder UI to configure the PowerScale Add-on.
Note: Configuration of the Add-on is only performed on the heavy forwarder (distributed) or indexer (stand-alone). No configuration is necessary on the search head.
Note: Splunk has a dedicated location for certificates. If Verify SSL Certificate is enabled, we recommend that you append the PowerScale certificate to $SPLUNK_HOME/lib/python3.7/site-packages/certifi/cacert.pem.
If you want to limit the scope of the certificate to only the PowerScale Add-on, append the PowerScale certificate to $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/TA_EMC-Isilon/bin/ta_emc_isilon/aob_py3/certifi/cacert.pem.
If you are using a proxy, you can configure those settings from the Proxy submenu.
You can modify the log level from the Logging submenu.
Multiple inputs are automatically created once the cluster node has been configured. These inputs call the various PowerScale APIs to collect data from the cluster. You can also add new inputs, which makes this solution extensible.
