PowerScale accelerator nodes are based on the PowerEdge R640 server. Each node is 1U in height. They can be deployed a single node at a time.
The P100 and B100 nodes connect to the PowerScale back-end, intra-cluster switches by InfiniBand or Ethernet. Each P100 and B100 node has front-end Ethernet connectivity supporting 10 Gb, 25 Gb, 40Gb, and 100 Gb network ports. The P100 provides the option of adding more memory per node. Each B100 node has 2 x 16 Gb Fibre Channel ports to connect directly to the tape backup storage system.
The following table lists the attributes and options for the PowerScale accelerator nodes.
