Data Protector for z Systems (zDP) is a mainframe software solution that provides continuous data protection for your mainframe data assets. Deployed upon the Dell TimeFinder SnapVX space-efficient volume-snap capability, your environment can increase the granularity of application recovery. zDP uses three main components to increase granularity: versioned data groups (VDG), snapsets, and target sets. To assist with zDP, customers can manage, operate, and monitor zDP using JCL, Mainframe Enablers (MFE) SCF commands, and zDP ISPF panels. These components work together to provide seamless integration and enable customers to use zDP.
