Configure the Commvault Credentials Manager as follows:
- Add the Dell ECS S3 credentials to the Commvault Credentials Manager:
- On the Control Panel, click the Credentials Manager icon and configure the account:
- Account Type: Cloud Account
- Credential name: Dell EMC ECS (S3-compatible)
- Access Key ID: The ECS Object User or IAM ID
- Secret Access Key: The ECS Object User’s Secret Key or IAM Secret Access Key
- Description: Enter an optional description

- Expand Storage Resources, right-click Libraries, and select Add > Cloud Storage Library > Cloud Storage.

- Select Dell EMC ECS S3-compatible storage. Enter the following Access Information, as shown in Figure 6, using information from the ECS user or IAM user account from the ECS web portal.
- Name: Enter a unique name to identify the library.
- Type: Select Dell EMC ECS S3-compatible.
- MediaAgent: Choose the primary MediaAgent that will drive data to ECS.
- Service Host: ECS supports both HTTP (port 9020) and HTTPS (port 9021) for the S3 protocol. Enter the IP Address or DNS name of the load balancer in front of the ECS nodes including the port. In the following example, a load balancer has been specified using the mapped port 80 for client/application-facing connections.
- Credential: Select the ECS S3 credentials that were created in the Credentials Manager.
- Bucket: Use one of the following options to select the ECS bucket to use for backup/archive:
Click Detect to retrieve the buckets owned by the ECS object user; use the drop-down menu to select the bucket to use.
Enter the bucket name in the field. If the bucket does not exist, Commvault will create it.
