Each ECS appliance rack contains three, four, or six switches. Gen1/2 appliances have three switches, two for the public network and one for the private network. Gen3 EX300, EX500, EX3000 and EX5000 systems have two public switches and two private switches. Gen3 EXF900 systems have another two dedicated aggregation switches for private switches ensure all the EXF900 nodes have line rate performance to any node in any rack.
