Replicate to All Sites is a replication group option that is used when you have three or more sites and you want all chunks to be replicated to all VDCs or sites configured in the replication group. This option also prevents XOR operations from running. The Replicate to All Sites settings are:
Note: Replicate to All Sites cannot be enabled on a replication group configured as passive.
Note: If customers know that they will eventually grow from 2 sites to 3 or more sites, and they want the data to be a Full Copy, you can select Replicate to All Sites when creating a 2-site replication group. This parameter allows for a Full Copy of the data when sies are added to the replication group.
The Replicate to All Sites setting has no impact on replication groups that contain only two sites because, in essence, all data is already replicated to both sites. The administrator can choose which buckets use this replication group.
