DDSM | Data Domain System Manager |
Fault Set | A logical entity that contains a group of SDSs within a Protection Domain |
IOPS | Input/Output Operations per Second |
NAT | Network Address Translation |
NVMe | Non-Volatile Memory Express |
PFMP | APEX Block Storage Manager Platform |
PowerFlex Gateway | An APEX Block Storage component that orchestrates deployments and upgrades and acts as the REST API gateway to the APEX Block Storage cluster |
PowerFlex GUI | The web user interface used for configuring and managing APEX Block Storage components, often called the Element Manager |
Proxy server | A public-facing server used for the “jump server” method of accessing the APEX Block Storage deployment |
Region | A collection of cloud data centers within a geographic region, such as North Virginia (us-east-1) |
RHEL | Red Hat Enterprise Linux |
SDC | Storage Data Client. The Dell APEX Block Storage component installed on a server that requires access to APEX Block Storage volumes |
SDS | Storage Data Server. The Dell APEX Block Storage component that controls the local disks |
