MDM | Meta Data Manager. An APEX Block Storage component that keeps everything running behind the scenes. |
MVCC | Multi-Version Concurrency Control |
NAT | Network address translation |
NSG | Network Security Group |
NVMe | Non-Volatile Memory express |
OS | Operating System |
PFMP | APEX Block Storage Manager Platform |
PowerFlex GUI | The web user interface used for configuring and managing APEX Block Storage components, often called the Element Manager. |
PV | Persistent Volume (Kubernetes construct) |
PVC | Persistent Volume Claim (Kubernetes construct) |
RDBMS | Relational Data Base Management System |

SDC | Storage Data Client. The Dell APEX Block Storage component installed on a server that requires access to APEX Block Storage volumes. |
SDR | Storage Data Replicator. The Dell APEX Block Storage component that manages asynchronous replication. |
SDS | Storage Data Server. The Dell APEX Block Storage component that controls the local disks. |
