The following diagram represents the architecture of a two-layer Dell APEX Block Storage for AWS deployment with DDVE across multiple AZs in a single AWS region.

In this example, the deployment is done in a single region having one Virtual Public Cloud (VPC) with three AZs for HA. For each AZ, public and private subnets are created with separate route tables, respectively. The public subnet and its associated security groups are used for hosting external facing resources. The private subnet and its associated security groups are used for hosting DDVE and PowerFlex components. A network address translation (NAT) gateway is configured in the public routing table to enable Amazon EC2 instances with a private subnet to connect to the internet. To store the backup data through private connections, S3 buckets and S3 endpoints for DDVE are created.
