To install Bare Metal Orchestrator, a common installer user account is created on each of the Bare Metal Orchestrator nodes. This common account must have passwordless sudo privileges enabled for the duration of the Bare Metal Orchestrator installation. After the Bare Metal Orchestrator installation is complete and the cluster nodes are configured, including worker nodes, we recommend revoking passwordless sudo privileges for the common user account.
For more information about the passwordless sudo requirements for the common installer user account, see Node access account requirements.
This procedure describes how to edit the sudoers file to enable and disable passwordless sudo privileges. You must repeat this procedure on each VM where the common installer user account is configured.
See Sample sudoers file for a sample /etc/sudoers file.
