If failures occur during TKG cluster deployment or TKG template creation process, you can reinitialize the stack. This sends a re-sync request to the stack installer. Reinitialize helps reinstate a failed deployment after the issue that caused the failure is resolved.
- Establish a CLI session on the Bare Metal Orchestrator VM and log in. For high availability configurations, establish a CLI session using the virtual IP (VIP) of the Load Balancers for the Bare Metal Orchestrator cluster.
- Navigate to ~/samples/stacks/tcp.
- Edit the <new-tcp-stack-id>.yaml file in Vim or a similar editor.
For example:
vim dell_stack.yaml
- Update the reInitialize attribute and enter the value as true.
- Alternatively, customize the
deleteTKGClusterList
or deleteTKGTemplateList
field with required configurations. For attribute definitions, see Stack field definitions for TKG cluster deployment. - Save the file and quit the editor.
- To reinitialize, run the following command:
bmo edit stack -f <new-tcp-stack-id>.yaml
