The Bare Metal Orchestrator UI installer is a graphical user interface that is an alternative to the CLI-driven installer. It provides a simpler interface that helps prevent errors that are sometimes made in .YAML configuration files. The installer also provides a way to skip component installation (switches, telemetry, stack). The installer supports single node or high availability (HA) installation; see Single node UI installer workflow and UI Installation HA workflow for details on each of these workflows.
The UI installer is a dockerized, web-based installation container that runs on the Bare Metal Orchestrator host CP1. The installer is a single-use UI container that guides you to enter the information needed to install the Bare Metal Orchestrator cluster. After you finish entering configuration information and submit it, you need to configure the Bare Metal Orchestrator node and add worker nodes.
