kdb+ is a high-performance, high-volume time series database designed to handle tremendous volumes of data. Kdb+ tick is an architecture that allows the capture, processing, and querying of real-time and historical tick data. Tick data comes directly from various feeds such as NYSE, NASDAQ, and so on, as well as aggregators—for example, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.
