Dell PowerEdge server platforms are ideal for hosting high-performance systems. Built with a choice of Intel or AMD processors and options for high-bandwidth networking and accelerator technologies, PowerEdge servers provide excellent cost/performance options for any demanding workload.
For quantitative trading systems, the PowerEdge two-socket servers are ideal platforms because they offer both high performance and good density options for demanding database and analytics workflows. The Dell solutions team has completed test benchmarks with the PowerEdge R900, R600, and, most recently, R7500 series of servers. These servers are all great options for quantitative trading systems, as would be the R700 and R6500 series PowerEdge servers, because they offer high core counts and high-speed memory options that balance performance throughout the system.
The Dell PowerEdge R7525 is a two-socket, 2U rack server that is designed to run workloads using flexible I/O and network configurations. The R7525 features the 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD EPYC processors, support for up to 32 DIMMs, PCI Express (PCIe) Gen 4.0 enabled expansion slots, and a choice of network interface technologies. The R7525 server is designed to handle demanding workloads and applications, such as data warehouses, ecommerce, databases, and high-performance computing (HPC).
