- Create an LACP port channel.
- Provide a description.
- Assign the VLANs required by the node type to be connected to the port channel as shown in VLAN membership by node type.
- Enable LACP fallback. Fallback allows the interface to establish a connection with the peer interface before the port channel has established an LACP session with the peer.
- Set the MTU size to 9216 bytes for best performance.
- Enable the interface.
- Bind the port channel to the MC-LAG domain ID created in Configure the MC-LAG domain.
- Enable link state tracking for downstream links. This setting helps to minimize switch failover time.
- Enable spanning tree BPDU guard.
- Set the port type to
edge
. - Enable spanning tree root guard.
