In this deployment, traffic is divided into different networks as shown in the Dell PowerFlex Appliance with PowerFlex 4.x Network Planning Guide. Depending on the traffic type, some networks are Layer 2 (no gateway) and some are Layer 3 (with gateway). The management and site replication networks must be accessible from devices on other networks, so they are Layer 3. The remaining networks are Layer 2.
