Each PowerFlex node is a member of several different VLANs depending on its type. VLAN membership by node type is shown in the table below.
PowerFlex node type | VLAN membership |
PowerFlex Management Controller (PFMC) | 103, 105, 140-143, 150 |
Compute Only (CO) | 105-106, 151-152 |
Storage Only (SO) | 150-152, 161-162 |
The four network connections from each PowerFlex node to the two leaf switches are configured in two LACP LAGs as shown in Production network connection details. On PFMC nodes running ESXi, the LAGs are named Front End (FE) and Back End (BE). On PowerFlex CO or SO nodes running the intelligent catalog embedded Linux operating system, the LAGs are named Bond0 and Bond1.
The VLANs are distributed between the two LAGs as shown in the table below.
PowerFlex node type | LAG 1: FE or Bond0 | LAG 2: BE or Bond1 |
PFMC | 105, 140, 150 | 103, 141-143 |
CO | 105-106 | 151-152 |
SO | 150-151, 161 | 152,162 |
