This section describes how to view audit logs.
Use a web browser to access the Dell Telecom Infrastructure Automation Suite (Automation Suite) web user interface and view audit logs in your management console.
An audit log is like a detailed record that tracks all the important actions and events that happen in a system or an application. It is used to review and monitor activities, helping to ensure transparency, security, and accountability by showing who did what, when, and sometimes why. This log is especially useful for tracking changes, detecting issues, and investigating problems or suspicious activities. Audit logging also helps comply with standards and to debug security issues. Typical use of audit logs includes the tracking of the following types of activity:
- Administrative activity: The activity includes events like creating or deleting a user account.
- User denials or login failures: Audit logs capture when a user is unable to log in to a system because of invalid credentials, or is denied access to resources such as a specific URL.
- Configuration changes: Audit logs capture any configuration changes that include password changes or changes to other product settings.
