Before you deploy the stack:
- Deploy the Wind River Cloud Platform operating system on each server in the cloud cluster that hosts a Controller-0 component, see Operating system deployment workflow - servers.
- Create and configure servers for Controller-1 and any optional Worker 0-n components, see Create servers for Controller 1-n and Worker 0-n components.
- Create the stack configuration files for the Wind River Cloud Platform deployment and upload them to the folder called stack in the web server. See Create the stack configuration files. Note: See the sample files for stack deployment that are bundled with the Bare Metal Orchestrator OVA file. They are located here: /home/dell/samples/stacks/windriver.
- Ensure the required certificates and files are uploaded to the web server in the appropriate folders.
- The Wind River Cloud Platform ISO wind-river-cloud-platform-host-installer-21.05-b58.iso is uploaded to the folder called isos.
- The following artifacts extracted from the Windriver.zip file are uploaded to the folder called stack:
- wind-river-cloud-platform-deployment-manager-2.0.6.tgz
- wind-river-cloud-platform-deployment-manager.yaml
- The docker registry certificate for the Wind River Cloud Platform deployment is uploaded to the folder called stack.
- The stack configuration files deployment_config.yaml and installer_config.yaml are created and added to the stack folder. For details, see Create the stack configuration files.
A stack deployment profile is used to deploy the stack. The stack deployer profile defines the stack type, version, credentials, and network information for Controller-0 on the Central Cloud, and also lists the servers for deployment. The configFile attribute points to the installer_config.yaml file, where server details are provided.
