To create a hardware profile:
- In the Orchestration page, from the left-side menu, select Hardware Profile. The Orchestration: Hardware Profile page is displayed.
- From the Actions drop-down list, select Create.
- Enter a Name for the hardware profile.
- Add the required configuration settings.
- Under BIOS Settings, click Add and update the required fields.

- Under BMC Settings, click Add and update the required fields.

- Under RAID Settings, click Add and update the required fields.

- Under Operating System, click Add and select the operating system media. Then you can configure the operating system settings, see Operating system settings. For more information about operating system media, see Create operating system media.
- Under OS Drivers, click Add and select the OS driver media. For more information about OS driver media, see Create OS Driver media. Note: OS Drivers setting in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an operating system has been added.
- Under SCP Automated Configuration, click Add and select the SCP media. For more information about creating SCP media, see Create SCP media. Note: SCP Automated Configuration setting in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an SCP media has been added.
- Under OS Network Settings, click Add and provide the operating system Host Name. Note: OS Network Settings in the Hardware Profile page gets enabled only when an operating system has been added.
- Under Firmware, click Add and select the Firmware media.

- Under Power Options, Do not change power state is selected by default. If you want to set the power state, click Set power state to turn the power on or off.
- Under BIOS Settings, click Add and update the required fields.
- Select the Reinitialize Drives checkbox to perform a secure erase on the drives of resources targeted by this hardware profile. CAUTION: Reinitialize Drives is a destructive operation that can result in data loss.Note: SD cards, if present, and BOSS cards are not erased when you select Reinitialize Drives.
- Click Create. The new hardware profile displays on the Orchestration: Hardware Profile page.
