After you have successfully created a PowerFlex CSV, it is visible in each MC node's C:\ClusterStorage folder and on the Volumes page in Windows Admin Center. You can also use Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, and other management tools to deploy workloads onto the new CSV. As is the case with S2D CSVs, the PowerFlex CSV will be accessible from all MC nodes in the cluster. The key difference is that the storage is located on a volume on the remote PowerFlex system, instead of on the MC node's local disks.
Once volumes are mapped to the APEX Cloud Platform for Azure cluster and a corresponding CSV has been created, you can validate volume health:
From one of the MC nodes, run the following PowerShell command:
Get-ClusterSharedVolume
The output of this command should show all CSVs with a status of Online, including all S2D and PowerFlex CSVs.
For more in-depth information regarding the CSVs, run the following command:
Get-ClusterSharedVolumeState | Sort-Object Name,Node | FormatTable
The output of this command shows all CSVs and the nodes they are mapped to. If a redirection is detected, this is an indication of a failure.
