This topic describes the Embedded Service Enabler (ESE) in Bare Metal Orchestrator and the Secure Connectivity Gateway (SCG).
The ESE is embedded in Bare Metal Orchestrator and provides a connection to the Bare Metal Orchestrator cluster for telemetry and remote serviceability support.
The SCG aggregates telemetry data from multiple products from one customer site and is deployed as a separate product external to Bare Metal Orchestrator. Telemetry data is transmitted over the ESE REST API interface.
Cluster modules include:
- Global Access Service (GAS)—Provides Dell support with remote product access capability.
- Secure Remote Services (SRS)—Provides a secure transport for two-way connectivity between a product to the Bare Metal Orchestrator cluster.
- Managed File Transfer (MFT)—Telemetry data is sent as a file. MFT can secure transmission, forward the file to multiple subscribers, and manage the life cycle of the telemetry files.
- Connectivity Life Cycle Management (CLM)—Assists Dell support personnel in monitoring product issues and generating service requests.
