The scripted REST API service configuration is now a new resource. Create an incident test as follows:
The left side of the REST API explorer lists the resource details: Namespace, API Name, and API Version. On the right side, the URI of HTTP POST method is listed with http headers.
{
"alertId": "Unity-A007_Pool_Test-Pool93_Threshold Exceeded",
"severity": "1",
"eventType": "DURABLE",
"timestamp": "1623403895",
"systemName": "Unity-A007",
"systemType": "UnifiedArray",
"componentType": "Pool",
"componentName": "Test-Pool93",
"source": "Unity-GenericEvent",
"category": "Capacity",
"description": "Storage pool Test-Pool93 has exceeded its critical threshold of 95%",
"active":"true",
"acknowledged":"N/A",
"owner":"N/A"
}
An alert triggers incident creation due to the property active=true and the nonexistence of the same alertId in the incident database.
The explore REST API webapp responds with the following request summary:
The status code must be 200 OK. The Response Body message reflects the specific action being performed within ServiceNow (Incident created).
The new incident appears.
The details of the incident are shown with state New, subcategory SRM, and the short and detailed descriptions.
