Security in a multicloud environment should be viewed holistically, users should not just add any tools or software to the platform. Security tools are essential, but it is more important that security principles and framework are engrained into every aspect of the multicloud platform. Adopting key frameworks like NIST Cybersecurity and Zero Trust is vital to make it a secure platform.
Figure 6 explains best practices for adopting the NIST Cybersecurity framework for a multicloud platform.
Zero Trust requires strict security policies that must be implemented in the automation platform while developing the automation codes for designing and deploying the multicloud service.
Figure 7 explains how both the Zero Trust and NIST frameworks can address some of the essential security requirements of the multicloud platform.
